Stakeholders are requesting the Chancellor to order a stay of the proposal until a meaningful and sustainable solution can be found to the perennial accommodation and security crisis on campus. Many Stakeholders converged at the Kumasi Children’s Park at 9.00am on Friday morning, from where they marched peacefully to the Manhyia Palace to present the petition to the Asante monarch.

Meanwhile, both halls have filed separate law suits at the court to have the university’s management rescind its decision about the conversion of the halls of residence to mixed gender to boost female student population.
